We supply budget screened soil (screened to 15mm) which can be used as a final layer under your new turf.
We endeavour to screen out as many products as we can however there may be small particles of glass, metal etc. It can be used as a layer under your new turf and is suitable if you are working under a budget.
It may have a higher content of stones etc than our better graded topsoil.
A general-purpose topsoil compliant to BS3882:2015 Sandy Loam Topsoil. It is ideal for general landscaping projects such as seeding, turfing and planting.
Our blended soil is supplied from the sugar beet fields in prime vegetable growing areas ensuring it contains valuable horticultural properties, promoting good rates of growth when turfing and planting.
The clay and silt in our Blended Topsoil help retain both its moisture and inherent nutrient content.
The sand content is typically 60-65% which helps to hold the moisture in summer months but is free draining in the winter.
A highly friable topsoil with a good level of nutrients and organic microbial activity.
Derived from prime arable soil the natural fertility will encourage good plant growth, this does mean that weeds will need to be controlled. This is particularly important in the early stages of seeding to allow the sown plants to thrive.
Our topsoil can be delivered both bagged and loose.
When ordering multiple bags it may be cheaper to order topsoil loose as we can utilise our special loose topsoil delivery vehicle (pictured) to more efficiently deliver your topsoil to you across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
