How do I measure an irregular shaped lawn?

To measure an irregular shaped lawn, first measure the length and width in metres at the wideset points, then sketch the shape onto a piece of squared paper using each square to represent 1 metre.

Once you have your sketch, simply count up the full squares, and if you have any incomplete squares (less than a half) count as a half and anything over count as a whole square.

Note: However you measure your lawn, it’s always best to order slightly more turf than you require to allow for undermeasuring and filling in gaps should you cut too short.
